Welcome to Credit Crunch Busters
Sep 20th, 2008 by Jamie Bradley
First of all, welcome to the Credit Crunch Busters website. Whether you stumbled upon this site by coincidence or you have a genuine interest in the economic crisis that is the current recession, it is my aim to guide you through the day to day financial implications that will ultimately impact upon the way that you negotiate your finances.
The development of this site will hopefully bring to fruition my ability to self educate; in conjunction with conducting the education. At this stage in time, it is as much of a learning curve for me as it will be for the majority of our target audience.
However, as a perspective onlooker, it is essential that you do not let this deter you from condemning the content into the mindless drivel category, despite an undeniable influx of websites that do indeed fit this bill – we aim to inform rather than impose and ensure that what we do report on is balanced and not bias.
Coming to terms with the complexities of economics is perhaps the biggest obstacle for me to overcome, but I am slowly adopting it as part of my day to day life with each edition of The Economist that I manage to get through.
Although very technical and jargon based, it is manageable once you overcome the terminology , as it can be relatively overwhelming and, at times, makes you feel alienated and ultimately a spectator caught up in a complex conversation between writer and target reader.
Therefore, in order to accommodate the needs of everyone, much of what will be written will be very much done so in a user friendly format, so that the credit crunch can finally be put into context for all the anti economists out there.
