The government keeps bailing out the banks, lending them millions at a time; also taking over bad mortgage debt. But where is this money coming from? You would have thought that if the government had all of this money they could have used it before to invest in education or the NHS.

I began reading an article in The Economist about the impact of the financial crisis in West Asia. As I continuously found the text more tedious, my mind began to wonder away from the jibberjabber on the page and focus more on the every day impact.

When Britain finally went into recession a matter of weeks ago, there seemed to be this sense of inevitability beforehand, like it was already a foregone conclusion and that the recession was already underway.

I am still unclear whether we are launching this site live throughout the internet or just on university campus. Until we make this decision it is difficult for me to distinguish whether interviewees will talk to us on the record or allow us to use video cameras/sound recorders.
